A career spent building battery and energy businesses, from gigafactory-scale cell manufacturing to a new European clean-energy platform.

PowerCo gigafactory sites he helped lead: Salzgitter, Valencia and St. Thomas, Canada

He began in manufacturing at Bosch in 2008, taking products from sample phase into series production. He then led process development for electric-vehicle battery cell production at Lithium Energy and Power, a joint venture of Bosch, GS Yuasa and Mitsubishi Corporation, with teams in Europe and Asia.

At Boston Consulting Group he was Global Lead Expert for Battery Production and Electromobility. He went on to head Farasis Energy Europe, building its European headquarters, battery development centre and cell, module and pack factory, and later served as its Regional President Europe.

In 2021 he joined Volkswagen to lead battery cell operations. From 2022 to 2026 he was Chief Operating Officer and Executive Board Member of PowerCo, Volkswagen's battery company, and chaired the boards of PowerCo in Valencia and of Volkswagen Motor Polska.

In June 2026 he founded WLF Energy, a vertically integrated clean-energy platform that brings together solar, battery storage, battery and energy management systems, AI optimisation and energy trading. Its goal is to bring the cost of clean electricity in Europe below €0.10 per kilowatt-hour.

Today he is Chairman and CEO of WLF Energy and of Wolf x group.
